Updated 2023: Several of these bloggers I wrote about a few years ago are now focused on Instagram so I’ve updated this page with new links.
Jewelry bloggers & Instagrammers: Here’s the list!
1. Katerina Perez
After training at the Gemmological Association of Great Britain and working for Tiffany & Co., Katerina switched careers to start her blog. She wanted to focus on her passion for jewelry and share her original ideas and design views with the world. She shares creations from established brands as well as newer designers for her community of jewelry lovers.
Follow her for design inspiration and learn about the latest trends in jewelry. Blog | Instagram
2. Liza Urla – Gemologue

3. Daniele Miele – Gem Gossip
Daniele is a graduate gemologist from the GIA and spent several years experience working at an antique jewelry store. She is now a full-time writer and consultant. Blog | Instagram

Check out the section of her site called ‘Pretty Shiny Things’ where she features some beautiful designs. Follow her on Instagram.
5. Alice Matsumoto – The Carrotbox Blog
6. Cathleen McCarthy – The Jewelry Loupe
Her site is also a great resource for jewelry makers – she has an ‘Ask an Expert’ section where she has tons of how-to content across several jewelry focused topics from design to marketing. Follow her blog on Facebook.
Here is a recent post where she features some stunning jewelry finds from the AGTA (American Gem Trade Association) Show.

Other Jewelry Sites & Resources
9. Ganoksin
Ganoksin has been around for over twenty years. They are a jewelry making resource with tons of tutorials and how-to’s. They are a membership site with pricing from $4/mo to $20/mo.
Membership includes access to tutorials and also their popular forum for jewelers where you can ask questions and interact with other jewelers. This is the forum to go to if you have questions about setting, casting, sales policies, pricing…anything jewelry related.
10. Jewelers Helping Jewelers
This is along the same lines as Ganoksin, but it is a jewelry group on Facebook. Ask questions and other jewelers will help you. You need to be a member of the group to participate.
11. Jeweler Profit
The design of this site needs a lot of work but….if you’re a jeweler, David helps you with pricing. If you’re a designer looking for a systematic way to price your jewelry, take a look at David’s book – “Geller’s Blue Book”. He also sends out newsletters to help you make the most of your sales and income. David is a 14th generation jeweler!
12. Aspiring Metalsmiths
As they say on their Facebook page, “This is a friendly and supportive place to talk metal, share business and technical advice, show off your work, and have fun. Anybody with an interest in any type of metalwork can join and participate.” As with Jewelers Helping Jewelers you must be a member of the group.
We hope you found some sites here that you hadn’t heard of before. If you’re looking for more maker sites, take a look at our jewelry making classes post.

Thank you for sharing this list of inspiring jewelry bloggers and Instagrammers. As someone interested in starting a jewelry business on Etsy, I find these resources helpful in keeping up with trends and design inspiration. In addition to following these accounts, I recommend exploring Etsy’s community forums and resources to connect with other jewelry makers and learn about selling on the platform. Best of luck to anyone starting their own jewelry business!

I found most of the blogs pretty inspirational! However, in general I can’t seem to find that many bloggers who exclusively writes about jewelry.
What a great list! So much to learn and so many different avenues of inspiration to follow here. I love that you’ve included a lot of blogs that talk about antique and vintage jewelry as well, it’s good to see them be represented, and to learn how the fashions and designs of the past are influencing all the hottest designers of today as well! Thank you for posting!
I have a blog post titled “What’s Really Inside Your Jewelry?” It goes into depth on the different metals used in jewelry making from gold and silver, and just what percentage of each are in different jewelry; to stainless steel and metal alloys that are durable and sturdy.

Incredible resource round-up, just WoW. Thank you for the effort and passion.
Another item that’s critical to ask: does each blogger disclose when she is paid by a company or brand to write about it? Their readers and followers deserve to know when they are paid to play. #Transparency #Ethics
Good point!
Nice job with this, Ash. Thanks for taking the time to understand and explain what everybody brings to the table.
I am honored to be in this company, thank you so much! I learn everyday from some of the friends on this list! Thanks for compiling.
